As of 2011, Google employs more than 24,000 people, a good chunk of them headquartered at the Googleplex in Mountain View, Calif. Google is renowned for its fun and interesting approach to the workspace in its workplace. To see what we mean, stroll through the images in this picture gallery for a look inside the Googleplex and its global cousins.

The buildings at Googleplex don't look like your typical corporate offices, especially with the sand volleyball game. After burning some calories, head to the cafeteria.

The spirit of the Googleplex extends to other outposts of the company as well. That's plain to see here, as an employee demonstrates how to use the climbing wall during the grand opening of Google Kirkland in Kirkland, Wash. More than 350 employees work on the Kirkland campus.

Moving on from Washington all the way around to Australia, here we see a general view of the reception area at the Googleplex Headquarters in Sydney, Australia. It's decorated with Australian flora. The Sydney office opened in 2009 and has a number of Australian themes, including offices with picnic benches, fish tanks, Australian flora, a sports-themed mini-kitchen and a game room named "The Rissole." We'll see the games room in the next picture.

Remember the outdoor bike paths we just mentioned? Actually, Google makes room for bike paths indoors too, such as this one in the Netherlands office. Now that you've seen our Googleplex pictures, check out our Google Earth gallery!
